 That is probably because it was hard to tell what she had up her sleeves. I'm sure that many overconfident pilots (at least those who could get to their ships, which was probably rare) who thought they were all that tried to outfight the Slave 1, only to get hit by Ion bolts, or get hit by a concussion missile or proton torpedo, and get sent spinning and realize that they weren't so good after all.
