Little Joe II ortho [new]

I remember this one.  During the test of the Apollo LES, the wires being crossed resulted in the Little Joe II going into an uncontrollable roll that tore it apart.  The LES detected this, fired its engines, and pulled the Capsule away from the disintegrating rocket.  Thus in failing, Little Joe II provided the best possible test of the LES, validating it for use.
