Great work on the classic Romulan... um I mean Klingon design. :D

I always liked the small B'rel class, small hit and run tactics always seemed to be at the core of Klingon naval warfare.

Does this class have variable geometry wings, or are they locked in position?

This is the one that appeared in "The Voyage Home" and it was definitely variable geometry in that :)

I liked this ship especially, as it seems in my mind to be how the Klingons would build the bulk of their fleets. Small highly maneuverable ships, with a small crew compliment, yet capable of doing great damage in battle. And the configuration of practically all Klingon ships makes far more sense than that of most Federation ships.:O

I think the length of 88m of the B'Rel on the "Memory-Beta" is wrong (this wrong size was first mentioned in the book "Starship Spotter, though). The official design length of the "small" Bird of Prey was supposed to be 110m according to various sources. At least in the TOS movies and most DS9 episodes this size seems to fit, in comparison with most of the other ship models.

The size of the larger K'Vort (appearing in most TNG episodes) on the other hand is very controversal, as it sometimes seems to range from around 230m to even around 600m.

But: Great artwork nonetheless!

Yea been down this road before. Of all the orthos I've done, the Bird of Prey is the most controversial as far as its specs go :(

Still, as long as the pic is enjoyed that's half the work

Some Klingons that wished it "was a good day to die".
